I help independent restaurant owners make smarter decisions about growth, marketing, technology, operations, and profitability.
My advice does not come only from marketing books or software demos. It comes from years of working inside restaurants, opening new locations, building operational systems, managing teams, and solving the everyday problems restaurant owners face.
My experience with restaurants started when I was around 15 years old, after my mother opened her crepe food truck.
That was my first opportunity to see what running a food business really involved. I began learning about customer service, food preparation, daily operations, and the amount of work required to keep a small food business running.
Since then, I have worked in many restaurant environments, including McDonald’s, Japanese barbecue, rice-bowl shops, sushi restaurants, and ramen restaurants.
Each experience taught me something different about customers, service, speed, teamwork, food quality, and restaurant operations.
In Chicago, I managed marketing and operational projects for restaurant groups, helped a restaurant group open four new locations, and later managed restaurant openings from the ground up.
My experience has included:
- Construction and vendor coordination
- Hiring and operations
- Manuals and backend systems
- Websites and online ordering
- Advertising and promotions
- POS and restaurant technology
- Budgeting and growth planning
This taught me that restaurant growth is not created by one advertisement or one marketing trick. It comes from making the right decisions across operations, technology, marketing, and customer experience.
Restaurant owners are constantly being sold software, advertising, and services—but they are not always shown what they actually need.
I created The Restaurant Growth Lab to help independent restaurant owners understand:
- What to fix first
- Which tools fit their business
- Which strategies are worth trying
- How to grow without wasting money
My goal is not to sell every service or recommend every new trend. It is to provide honest guidance and help restaurant owners build stronger, more profitable businesses.
